- Scoop a Small Amount
Using the included spatula, apply a pea-sized amount of gel to your fingertip, toothbrush, or wipe. - Let Your Pet Smell the Gel
Allow your pet to become familiar with the gel before application. - Apply Along the Gumline and Teeth
Apply a thin layer along the teeth and gums. - If Your Pet Won’t Open Their Mouth
Gently lift or part the lips and swipe the gel along the outer teeth and gums. - Leave On Overnight
Do not rinse or wipe away. Allow the gel to remain overnight for best results.

I think the Dental Gel is helping to keep my dog's teeth from accumulating plaque and tartar. It smells really good and my dog seems to like the flavor. My dog is not receptive to using a cotton swab so it is a little difficult to apply with my fingers since it's so slippery. I'm hoping to try the Dental Wipes once they're back in stock.

I've used Healthy Mouth for years with great success. My dogs loved the taste and came eagerly every night for their brushing and gel application. Best evidence that the gel worked is that my dogs had little plaque on their teeth until it was unavailable for a few months (due to a fire at the facility). The amount of plaque that built up in those three months - even with continued brushing - proved that the gel was doing what it claimed to.

Smells good, dog thinks it tastes good, and though I don’t see an actual improvement in plaque, his breath smells better. However the gel is a mess to deal with— so slippery that it is virtually impossible to get out of the jar and into any type of applicator or spoon and it slides right off off fingers too. I sometimes manage to drip some of it into his mouth. Too difficult to use regularly.
